UPI Held A Farewell Ceremony for The Participants of PPL-SILN, PPL-LN, and Student Exchange


On February 25, 2020, the farewell ceremony for PPL-SILN (Sekolah Indonesia Luar Negeri), PPL-LN (Luar Negeri), and Student Exchange programs held in University Centre Building 1st floor.

UPI continues to increase the number of students involved in outbound student activities. This time UPI sends 32 students that will participate in various outbound student activities; varies from educational field practice, non-educational field practice, and student exchange. Furthermore, UPI also sends students from university branch campuses; from UPI Cibiru and UPI Tasikmalaya.

“OIER wants to congratulate all of the participants for joining the programs. Please take care of your health and don’t forget to wear a mask especially at the airport”, stated The Head of Office of International Education and Relations (OIER), Ahmad Bukhori Muslim, Ph.D.

The vice president of UPI, Dr. H. M. Solehuddin, M.Pd. also added, “Our Minister of Education Nadiem Makariem, said that we have to be creative if we want to take action. This is one of our missions to facilitate the students who want to expand their experience by studying abroad.” 

UPI sends in a total of 32 students in 3 programs. For PPL-SILN program, 22 participants will go to Indonesian School Abroad (Sekolah Indonesia Luar Negeri) and participating as a teacher for two months in Bangkok (Thailand), Davao (Philippines), Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia), and Johor Bahru (Malaysia). For the PPL-LN program, 3 participants will be the interns of KJRI Johor Bahru (Malaysia), and 2 participants will be placed in KBRI Bangkok (Thailand) for a month. Meanwhile, the participants of the student exchange program will experience the different atmosphere of studying in Malaysia for one semester; 2 participants in Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) and 3 participants in Universitas Sains Malaysia (USM). When the program ends, all of the participants should present what they have done in their country of destination. (Ghina Aulia Saffanah)
