UPI Provide Mobile Data Funding For Students During Physical Distancing

The physical distancing or the regulation to work and study at home during the Coronavirus outbreak affect the mobility of students in Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. A student is forced to isolate themself to avoid the infection of the Corona Virus. While staying at home, students should have a stable mobile data or internet connection because all the courses they take will be run online.

Therefore, to support the learning activities among students, UPI provides Rp. 100.000 (one hundred thousand Rupiah) to every student who registers themself in Single Sign-On Students account at https://student.upi.edu/ from 3 April 2020 to 10 April 2020. Later, to every student who has already been registered on the website, and conformed their Bank account number, the money will be sent to their account once in a month from April to May. However, it could be extended to June, depending on the spread of the COVID-19.

The amount of money that UPI provides is based on the Non-Tax State Revenue as written in the fifth point of the decree. Moreover, the fund that UPI provide to students who registered their name in https://student.upi.edu/ should be used to purchase mobile data network or internet connection during the online learning.
