KKN Cinangsi Village, Subang Help Teachers and Students with Various Creativities
|Since the coronavirus outbreak began to spread in Indonesia in March 2020, all sectors have been affected. The Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) directly responds to emergencies in the education sector by implementing the learning from home policy (BDR) for education units located in the yellow, orange and red zones, but for education units in the green zone, they can carry out face-to-face by paying attention to the health protocol.
The distance learning system (PJJ) as stated in Law no. 20 2003 article 1 paragraph 15, explains that education for students who are separated from educators and their learning can use various learning resources through communication technology, information and other media. The implementation of PJJ is carried out in the network (online) and PJJ outside the network (offline). The education unit chose to implement this approach because it was adapted to the characteristics and availability, readiness of facilities and infrastructure.
Based on observations in the field, problems that often arise are associated with the use of online learning applications. Problems that often arise such as parents of students who have difficulties to provide facilities in the form of cellphones and computers, internet needs that are very burdensome for students from the middle to lower economic class, and access to internet networks in rural areas that tend to be slow and unstable.
The Indonesian University of Education (UPI) responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by holding the second batch of KKN in the education sector through the theme of Preventing and overcoming the impact of Covid-19 in the field of Education and the economy during the adaptation of new habits. The time for implementing this KKN activity start from November 16th to December 30th, 2020. The implementation time is 120 hours which have been adjusted to student activities.
