During this pandemic situation of the COVID-19 virus and with the increasing number of patients from day to day a new way to sterilize people is needed before entering a room. Dr.Eng. Asep Bayu Dani Nandiyanto, ST, M.Eng., one of the Chemistry lecturers at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia has been in the field of nanoparticles for more than 15 years and is also one of the 20 best researchers in the Indonesian version of SINTA is designing a Nano-tech Sterilization Chamber. Mr. Asep Bayu alongside his team Mr. Robby Antonious, Mr. Andi Rustandi, and Mr. Arif Iskandar Akbar designed this chamber.
In short, this chamber can overcome the problem of sterilization of viruses and bacteria. The chamber operates quite simple, a person only needs to enter the chamber for 10-20 seconds, then sprayed with mist from the sterilizer and after that, it comes out in a sanitary state. In contrast to the existing sterilization booths, nanotechnology making the person dry after sterilization and not getting wet.
Of course, in this social distancing condition, society should not go out to reduce the risk of contracting and transmitting the COVID-19 virus. This equipment system is expected to provide a solution to reduce the risk of bacteria or germs attached to clothing or objects. (ab-ay)
