UPI and 5 other Universities Sign an MoU with Japan University of Economics (JUE)

UPI and five other universities signed an MOU with Japan University of Economics (JUE), November 28st 2019 at the Partere Building, UPI Bandung. This signing also included JUE partnership with another 5 universities; Padjadjaran University(UNPAD), Pasundan University (UNPAS), Bandung Islamic University (UNISBA), Bandung Tourism institute (STPB) BANDUNG, and STIE PERBANAS SURABAYA.

Some signed forms of cooperation included student exchanges, lecturer exchanges, and internships, also double degree programs that focus on Economics, Hospitality, And Tourism.

The meeting was officially opened by a welcoming remark from the Vice President of Research, Partnerships, and Business, Prof. Dr. H. Didi Sukyadi, M.A. In his remarks he said, “I hope we can go further into more complete collaboration among universities not only with Japan University of Economics but also all of us among the universities.” Then following by the remark from President of Japan University of Economics, Tsuzuki Asuka, she expressed her gratitude for UPI that hosted the signing meetings.

The meeting continued with some university profile videos both from UPI and JUE.

“This is the first time JUE has built an international partnership with Indonesia. We hope that this is will be the first step to build our partnerships with more universities and institutes in Indonesia.” Said Takeda Tsu, from Japan University of Economics.

The next agenda of the meetings was a discussion between Japan University of Economics and all the participated universities, filled with sharing forum and some question and answer session. The meeting officially ended with the signing session and giving a token of appreciation for all universities which participated. (Ghina Aulia Saffanah)
