Prodi PGSD Penjas FPOK UPI Libatkan Dosen Asing

Bandung, UPI

Yang ketiga adalah Prof. Selina Khoo, dosen dan deputy director of Centre for Sport and Exercise Sciences, University of Malaya, Malaysia.

Established monthly research seminar and scholarship of teaching seminar.   Recognised decline in demand for PE teachers nationally as cause of decreasing PE enrolments. Responded by suspending enrolments in 4-year degree and introducing 3 + 1 pathway via sport coaching for PE teaching. Since then all NZ universities have followed suit by replacing 4-year degree with the 3+1 model. With the loss of the PE degree the school was integrated into the larger School of Health Sciences and has maintained enrolments levels.   2011- 2014. University of Ballarat, Deputy Chair, School of Health Sciences Research Committee, Vice Chancellor’s appointment on University Research Committee (2011-2013), University Professoriate.   Appointment as a Professorial Research Fellow offered little opportunity for leadership, but I took on role as deputy chair for the faculty research committee and promoted improving teaching quality through an internal grant I was awarded. I delivered monthly workshops over six months in the scholarship of teaching and brought in an international scholar to conduct workshops over a two-week period.   2009-2011. Director: Sport and Physical Education Pedagogy Research Centre, Director: Carnegie Research Institute, Chair of Readers and Professors, Chair of Research Committee, Faculty Leadership Team, Carnegie Faculty, Leeds Metropolitan University,                  UK.   I had a number of leadership positions focused on research but linked to teaching and dealt with student experience issues as a member of the faculty leadership team. Over 2010 I oversaw the research aspects of the expansion of the Faculty of Sport and Education as a ‘super faculty’ of 6000 students, 400 staff and 150 PhD students. This involved integrating six diverse faculties into one while also tightening up research efficiency. I had to return to Australia mid 2011 due to a death in my family but the changes I initiated in reducing the number of research centres led to the university placing second in the UK in ‘research power’ (quality and quantity) in the Sport and Exercise Science Leisure and Tourism unit of assessment in the 2014 REF (Research Excellence Framework).   2004-2009. University of Sydney Director of Study Abroad Programs, Honours Coordinator (2005), Physical Activity and Sexualities Research Cluster coordinator (2004-2006), Youth Sport and Health Research Network coordinator (2007-2009). In my first year and a half at Sydney University I established a cluster of four courses aimed at the study abroad market. Study abroad enrolments grew from 8 to 300 and generated half a million dollars in the first year that all courses operated. In one year as coordinator of the honours program my attention to assessment saw significant improvement in results that included a student the faculty winning the University Medal for the first time in ten years. I also worked with a colleague in health to set up the Youth Sport and Health Research Network that is still operating.   2000-2004. University of Melbourne In my second year at UM I established the highly popular subject, ‘Sport, Education and Australian Society’ for study abroad market using innovative pedagogy and design. It is still operating at the University of Melbourne with other subjects introduced by following the original pedagogy and assessment design. I established links with 4 US universities for study abroad and in my last year at the university as Coordinator of HPE.
