A WELCOME DINNER FOR THE CAPEU BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ 2ND MEETING
|UPI threw a welcome dinner party in order to entertain the CAPEU BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ 2ND MEETING at Museum Pendidikan Nasional, October 20th, 2019.
The Consortium of Asia Pacific Education Universities (CAPEU) is a non-profit organization committed in making constructive changes in teacher training and education, research and community development, especially in higher education institutions in Asia-Pacific countries.
This event had been organized in order to welcome the guests before they finally had a meeting which was on October 21, 2019, in the Partere Isola building.
The event was attended by several guests from various universities, namely Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris Malaysia, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Universiti Utara Malaysia, Internasional Islamic University Malaysia, Semarang State University Indonesia, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha Indonesia, and Philippines Normal University, Philippines.
The opening remarks were given by the Vice President of CAPEU and UPI’s President Prof. Dr. H. R. Asep Kadarohman, M.Si. as the host of this year’s meeting. “We are happy to host this 2nd meeting of CAPEU and we hope we can strengthen our collaboration in the CAPEU consortium.”
The remarks were then followed by the president of CAPEU, Professor Dato’ Dr. Mohammad Shatar Bin Sabran. “This is one of our biggest agendas to make CAPEU one of the strongest teams in education development and we hope in future that more and more people will join our consortium.”
The event continued with a dinner session and live music entertainment from the Faculty of Arts and Design Education (FPSD) students. There was also a birthday wish session for UPI’s 65th anniversary.
