The discussion focused on enhancing Korean translation services to support communication with international patients, particularly those from South Korea. Additionally, internship opportunities for Korean Language Education students were explored to develop practical skills in translation and hospital service settings.
According to Prof. Dr. Yulianeta, M.Pd., the collaboration aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 on Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4 on Quality Education. “Through synergy between education and healthcare institutions, we aim to improve the quality of healthcare services for the community while enriching students’ real-world learning experiences,” she said.
The partnership will be formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), covering student internships and the development of translation services, with the possibility of expanding into other areas in the future.
This visit marks a strategic step in building mutually beneficial partnerships between educational institutions and hospitals, while contributing to SDG achievements through human resource development and improved public services. (contributor)
