Bandung, November 8, 2025 – Bunga Aisyah Wiarto, a student from the Communication Science Study Program, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), achieved an outstanding accomplishment by winning the Grand Award (Overall Winner) at the International Students Got Talent 2025, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia and Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS).

The prestigious international competition, which brought together students from universities across Malaysia, was held from November 4–7, 2025, at Putra Hall A, Putrajaya International Convention Center (PICC), Malaysia. The preliminary rounds took place from November 4–6, followed by the grand finale on November 7, 2025.

In her remarkable performance, Bunga—known on stage as “Bew”—captivated the audience with a stage art and vocal performance that beautifully blended elements of Indonesian culture with a universal humanitarian message. Her attire featured traditional Nusantara motifs, while her performance carried a call for solidarity with Palestine, Sudan, and Congo.

“I want my performance to be more than just entertainment—it should convey a meaningful message to the world,” Bunga shared.

Her path to victory was far from easy. During the preliminary rounds, she faced health challenges but persevered with determination, eventually securing a spot in the top three and ultimately claiming first place in the final round.

“This experience taught me about resilience, focus, and the true meaning of perseverance,” she reflected.

Vidi Sukmayadi, Coordinator for Partnerships at UPI’s Communication Science Program, expressed immense pride in Bunga’s achievement, emphasizing that UPI Communication Science students embody the spirit of “Wani Diadu”—bravely competing and excelling at the global level.

Bunga’s success not only brings pride to herself and the university but also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities. The competition serves as a platform for cross-cultural expression, encouraging students to appreciate diversity, foster creativity, and contribute to humanity through the arts.

“This is not merely a personal victory—it is proof that art can bridge the universal values of humanity beyond borders,” Bunga said gratefully.

Congratulations to Bunga Aisyah Wiarto—may this achievement inspire other UPI students to continue shining and bringing pride to Indonesia on the global stage. (Contributor)
