Bandung UPI

Chairman of the Board of Trustees (MWA) of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Dr. (H.C.). Agum Gumelar, M.Sc., said that the students’ commitment to studying at UPI must be greater, and they must have a strong will as well as a strong desire to be able to engage in all educational programs with an indomitable spirit since they are the selected ones.

He stated it in the interview session after carrying out the procession of the Campus Orientation Period and Public Lecture “Masa Orientasi Kampus dan Kuliah Umum” (MOKAKU) 2022.

Which was conducted offline at the Gymnasium Building, UPI Campus, Jalan Dr. Setiabudhi No. 229 Bandung, Monday (29/08/2022).

“I said, if you have one failure, don’t give up; it is precisely because of this failure that you must endeavor to achieve success in accordance with what is anticipated because so many examples of success begin with failure; that is my emphasis,” he said.

He also cited several examples of success or failure. This occurs because success begins with a pretentious, conceited, and arrogant attitude. So, if you encounter a setback, don’t quit, and if you experience success, don’t be arrogant.

He also stated, “The number of people who applied to UPI and the number of people were accepted are both increasing.” This indicates that UPI is becoming more well-known and accepted by the general public. More than that, the UPI education system has been adopted by the general public. We must be patient to achieve our goal, and we must work hard to achieve it.” (Dodiangga,Humas UPI/Translate R.R.
